What you can't see from here
See where mineral and placer permit applications are moving across British Columbia, not only in the region you already know.
Every mineral and placer Notice of Work filed in British Columbia in the last twelve months, grouped by mine region. This page shows counts and stage only. The regional editions name the mines that moved most recently.

What this page is
BC Mining Intelligence keeps a daily copy of British Columbia's public Notice of Work feed. The province's own feed overwrites itself, so yesterday's state is gone unless someone kept it. This page is the free view of that record: how many mineral and placer permit applications are live in each of B.C.'s five mine regions, and what stage they have reached.
It is built for the people who quote on this work, drilling, camps, roads, fuel and crews, and who can usually see their own region but not the other four.
How to use it
- Pick your region. Click one of the five circles on the map. Each circle is sized by how many filings are live there.
- Read what you are not watching. Your region dims and the panel totals the other four: filings live, still in the queue, already approved, declaring drilling.
- Download the free edition. Below the map, take the seven page Intel Pack for your region, or for any other. No email needed.
- Ask about the pilot. A limited number of free one-month places are open; email us at the bottom of the page.
Pick the region you work out of. Everything else is your blind spot.
live filings across British Columbia in the last twelve months: 89 still in the queue, 188 already approved. 86 of them declare surface drilling.
Take your region with you
A seven page edition for each region: what the record holds, what your region is not watching, where each permit stands, and how long approvals actually take. Free, no email needed.
Pick your region on the map above, or take any edition below.
These editions were built from the capture dated October 28, 2026. The record has moved since, so the counts above are the current ones and the pack is a dated snapshot.
Want to try it for a month?
A limited number of free places are open for a one month pilot of the Intel Pack. No payment, no commitment, and I ask for your feedback in return. Tell me which region you work out of and what you quote on.
To be clear about what it is not: BCMI does not show who bid, who won, contract values or any vendor-to-vendor information. It reads public permit records.
How to read this data
A filing shows regulatory activity. It is not confirmed fieldwork, a completed program or an available contract. British Columbia does not publish whether contractors have been chosen, so treat these records as early signals for your own research and outreach.
The figures come from BC's public Notice of Work feed, which BC Mining Intelligence captures daily so changes stay available after the province updates its feed. They cover mineral and placer applications in the 12 months to November 3, 2026. Live means Received, Referred, Referral Complete or Approved. Withdrawn, rejected, no-permit-required and Client Delayed applications are left out. Drilling and camp totals count live applications that declare proposed activity of that kind. Declared activity is what an applicant proposed, not what has happened or been built.
The map is a simplified regional view. Each bubble sits near the average location of a region's filings and is sized by its number of live applications. Bubbles are not region boundaries or anyone's service area.
